Homemade Hummus
So much better than store-bought, and SO simple! (:
Ingredients
- few cups cooked chickpeas, drained
- 1/2 cup tahini
- few tsp salt, pepper, garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
- few Tbsp aquafaba (the leftover water from cooking the chickpeas)
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- 1First, soak your chickpeas overnight.
- 2In the morning, rinse and drain the chickpeas, then add water and boil & simmer till tender.
- 3In a food processor or blender, pulse all ingredients into a purée, adding aquafaba as needed to maintain a smooth consistency
- 4Season to taste & enjoy! Pairs well with bread and veggies (:
